New York State was very rural in large parts. Unlike a lot of other rural places we’d been to though, people didn’t seem very interesting in chatting. We tried talking to people in a few towns without much luck. We had a look at the Hudson river finally, as there had been few places to see it in the area we spent the night before:

Next we went in Albany. It was not one of our favorite places. We weren’t able to speak to many people again, but those who we did told us not to live there. That said, it’s government buildings were fairly attractive:
