After the monsoon related delays, the shotcrete is finally in. Shotcrete is a form of concrete, but we only found out why the word “shot” is in it today. It is basically shot at high pressure out of a sort of massive hose.
Something we hadn’t realized is this is a step that actually requires home owner participation. You have to keep it wet for a few days after so we had to go out with the hose and wet the whole of the surface and will need to do it again later:
