We had stayed over in a suburb of Denver and had intended to go into Denver, but saw there was a Brighton, CO and decided to go there instead.
Even though virtually everything in the town was newer than Brighton, UK, they had a few unexpected things in common. Brighton, UK is known for its Pavillion and clock tower. Brighton, CO has a clock tower and something called the pavilions (which appeared to be a cinema and shopping area):
