We finally have all the furniture we intend to own in the near future, so here is a short blog post on the state of our new apartment.
We have an odd mix of Wal-mart and rented furniture. They look oddly similar as cheap tends to be black and basic, but so does nice.
Of course, there is a difference between the products. The expensive rental ones are comfortable, while the furniture we built from Wal-mart has nothing to do with comfort, but is cheap in that putting it together destroys it a bit. None of it can be taken apart. If anything, the tv stand is fully functional, but Chris actually slight broke it putting it together due to it being so flimsy that we had to superglue one of the feet on.
The bed was the only big ticket item we bought outright rather than renting. Fortunately, Ashley Furniture did not disappoint.
Here’s a video for the full tour:
Plants on top of server- wrrrrrrrr 🙂
The plants keep the server dry and the server heats the plants. It’s a symbiotic relationship.
