To make better time, we had to give a few things a miss that we would have normally done, like going to NASA, but I am sure we will be back to Florida even if we don’t move here, so we will go later. Here are some shots from Florida’s “Space Coast”:
Next we headed into the beginning of the absolutely huge Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. We had a look at West Palm Beach, which wasn’t very nice, and then Palm Beach, which was lovely.
We stayed in a small suburb near West Palm Beach called Lantana. There were all these lovely little things that I think might be geckos. Once again, if you are more knowledgeable of nature than we are, do let us know:
The area itself was quite nice: The hotel, on the other hand, was a bit weird really. It had an ancient 600 watt microwave, so dinner prep was a challenge. It was generally a bit of a dump. Despite the cool name (The Barefoot Mailman Motel), we cannot recommend it.
